I DIY’d foodie gifts for our wedding guests and this is how it turned out…
The one thing that my husband and I knew that we wanted for our wedding was to be surrounded by loved ones, great stories, and delicious food. We literally had Acme bread and fresh citrus as our centerpieces and the incredible Cal Peternell cater our dinner, a dream come true. I knew I would want our guests to take the bread home with them (there was a lot of bread…) so I decided to make waxed canvas bread bags for each guest as a special keepsake from our day. I hand cut, sewed, beeswaxed, and embroidered until my heart was content.
I also compiled tiny bottles of California EVOO with thyme from our garden, meyer lemons from my mom’s garden, a few instant coffees from Bixby Coffee (our dog’s name is Bixby), some tins of Jacobsen flaky salt, as well as a signed copy of Cal Peternell’s cookbook Twelve Recipes.
